princesses, ghosts, and other animated characters prepare their descend on Charlotte
neighborhoods for Halloween, King Tiger Academy (KTA)Tae Kwon Do of North Charlotte
offers children and their parents safety tips to help prepare them for a safe
trick-or-treat holiday. KTA is continuing safety courses with its Halloween Safety
KNOW & GOŽ session. Developed by Tom Patire, KNOW & GOŽ was researched, developed,
and tested as an important first step to ensuring your child's safety. This
interactive Halloween safety course for children 5 to 10 and their parents will make
them aware of dangers surrounding the holiday and preventative techniques that could
help them escape from harms way. Environment change, sound recognition, stranger
awareness are some of the items the class with highlight.

In conjunction with the Halloween safety session, KTA will also sponsor Harvest
Festival. This festive event is designed to be a fun alternative to a night of
trick-or-treating. Youth will be treated to fun, games and exhibition of thrilling
Tae Kwon Do techniques. This class will be held on Saturday, October 27th at 5:00
p.m. at King Tiger Academy- North Charlotte (3016 B Prosperity Church Rd.). The
safety session will last approximately 1 hour with the festival following
immediately afterwards. Admission to the KNOW & GOŽ session and Harvest Festival are
free and open to the public.

"Halloween can be fun. It's just in following simple safety tips parents can make
this a safe it for their children," Master Terrance Evins Owner and Head Instructor
of King Tiger Academy said. "Many injuries can be prevented if parents learn to be
safety conscious, especially at Halloween."
